The traffic movement on 247km-long Jammu-Srinagar National highway was restored on Thursday after authorities ordered suspension of vehicular traffic on both sides in order to carry out repair and maintenance works in Dhalwas area of Ramban district.
J&K Traffic Police in a tweet informed, “Traffic restored on Jammu Srinagar NHW. Stranded vehicles are being cleared.”
The highway is the only all-weather surface link that connects Kashmir with other parts of the country.
