Reasi Police pays tribute to martyr Sg.Ct Kamal Kishore

Reasi, Oct 17: In a poignant ceremony held at Kamal Kishore Memorial Reasi, District Police Reasi commemorated the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of Sg.Ct Kamal Kishore, a brave officer who hailed from the Gran Morh area of the district. 
The event, organized with simplicity yet profoundness, was attended by officers and officials of District Police Reasi, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal JKAS, family members of the martyr, esteemed members of civil society, and residents of Reasi and neighboring areas.
Sg.Ct Kamal Kishore, displaying unparalleled valor, met his martyrdom while confronting terrorists in Srinagar in 2018. His courageous actions led to the elimination of two dangerous terrorists during the encounter.
Speaking at the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Amit Gupta, highlighted the extraordinary bravery of martyr Sg.Ct. Kamal Kishore and encouraged the youth to emulate the heroic sacrifices of martyrs. He affirmed the commitment of District Police Reasi to organize more such events, honoring the martyrs of the district. Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal, acknowledged the gallant actions of the martyr and paid heartfelt tributes to his memory.
Dy.SP DAR DPL Reasi, along with prominent social activist Yog Raj Mengi, also expressed their respects for the sacrifice of Shaheed Sg.Ct Kamal Kishore, emphasizing the enduring inspiration his bravery provides to the community.
It is noteworthy that Shaheed Sg.Ct Kamal Kishore was posthumously awarded the Shaurya Chakra in 2021 for his exceptional courage and gallantry. 
The residents of Reasi expressed their gratitude towards Reasi Police for organizing such events, which serve as a beacon of inspiration for the youth in the region.
