Ganderbal, Oct 18: A Works Supervisor of the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) Department in Ganderbal Division has come under scrutiny due to allegations of misconduct during a demolition drive in the Plang Kangan area of the central Kashmir district.
An official order, a copy of which is in possession of Rising Kashmir, states that pending an inquiry into his conduct, Danish Bashir has been immediately attached to the office. The alleged misconduct reportedly occurred during a demolition drive and involved a Revenue Officer.
To ensure a fair and impartial investigation, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kangan has been entrusted with the task of conducting a thorough inquiry into the incident. The Magistrate is expected to submit a factual report along with concrete recommendations within a period of 10 days.
This move is in accordance of the due process, transparency, and accountability, as the concerned authorities seek to address the allegations of misconduct.
