Srinagar, Sep 05: The Health and Medical Education Department has constituted a committee to inquire into the liabilities created in GMC, Srinagar and its Associated Hospitals till March, 2019.
The H&ME Department in an order issued here said the committee will conduct a detailed inquiry into the liabilities created in GMC Srinagar and its Associated Hospitals till March, 2019 in respect of procurement of hospital supplies, medicines, materials, drugs, instruments, machinery etc.
The order said the committee would be headed by Director (Coordination), new GMCs, J&K, while Deputy Secretary(S), Health & Medical Education Department, Chief Accounts Officer, GMC, Srinagar, Assistant Law Officer, H&ME as members. The committee shall enquire whether the funds for the purpose were available at the time of placement of supply orders and total liability incurred date/institute-wise. It will also inquire whether the supplies as per actual requisition from the HoD have been actually received/ utilized and the reasons of non-payment to the suppliers.
