Srinagar, Oct 07: Underscoring the region’s rapid economic expansion, achieved within a remarkably short span, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha shed light on the remarkable transformation that has taken place in Jammu & Kashmir under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Interacting with the members of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) – Greater India Chapter in Srinagar today, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said Jammu and Kashmir is synonymous with a socio-economic miracle, boasting a plethora of investment opportunities across various sectors and extending enticing incentives to potential investors.
“We have witnessed the conversion of decades of damage and destruction into a thriving landscape of prosperity. We’ve nurtured an environment where individuals can lead life on their own terms, businesses and startups can flourish, and entrepreneurs can translate their ideas into profitable ventures,” remarked the Lt Governor.
During this interactive session, the Lt Governor addressed queries and shared the unprecedented progress achieved in diverse sectors.
“Jammu & Kashmir has now firmly established itself on the global tourism map. As of September this year, an impressive 1.67 Crore tourists have flocked to the UT, marking a remarkable 350% surge in foreign tourist arrivals compared to the previous year,” Sinha said.
The Lt Governor applauded the young industry leaders for their invaluable contributions to the nation’s growth and their unwavering commitment to giving back to society. He extended a warm invitation to them to partake in the developmental journey of Jammu and Kashmir as collaborative partners.
