Srinagar, Sep 11: BJP’s prominent youth leader and Media Incharge Manzoor Bhat on Monday paid a heartfelt visit to the home of Inspector Martyr Arshid Khan in Karan Nagar here as part of the ongoing “Meri Maati, Mera Desh” campaign. This initiative aims to honour the land and bravery of India while collecting symbolic ‘Mitti’ (soil) from various locations.
Accompanied by BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur and Publicity Secretary Arif Raja, Manzoor Bhat expressed his support for the campaign, which carries the slogan “Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan” in commemoration of India’s 77 years of independence.
The “Meri Maati, Mera Desh” campaign is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and involves collecting ‘Mitti’ from homes and sites near the memorials of martyrs. This soil will be transported to the national capital and contribute to the creation of ‘Amrit Vatika’ in front of ‘Rashtra Pati Bhawan’ on ‘Kartavya Path.’
