Ganderbal, Oct 31: A one-storey residential house in the Pathribal Gagangeer area of Gund, located in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, was engulfed by a massive fire on Tuesday. The house, which belonged to Gulzar Ah Theekrey, son of Gh Mohidin Theekrey and a resident of Pathribal Gagangeer Sonamarg, suffered extensive damage in the blaze.
Fortunately, there were no reported human casualties in the incident. Local residents witnessed the complete destruction of the house due to the ferocious fire.
Quick response from the fire and emergency services, Gund Police, 34 Assam Rifles Gund, locals, and APCO Company workers helped bring the fire under control. Their collective efforts prevented the flames from spreading further and causing additional damage, as confirmed by officials on the scene.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown and is yet to be ascertained. Authorities, including the local police, have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
