JAMMU, Oct 25: The J&K Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to celebrate Accession Day on Thursday, October 26, in a big festive way by holding various programmes across the Union Territory.
Tricolours will be hoisted at booth, ward and panchayat levels across J&K apart from other programmes, Ravinder Raina, President, J&K BJP informed Rising Kashmir.
“The BJP will hold programmes at booth, ward and panchayat level across J&K and will hoist tricolour almost in the locality of J&K,” Raina said, adding that The Accession day will be celebrated by the BJP like a festival.
The main functions for celebrating the Accession Day will be held in the Jammu City.
BJP’s youth wing, Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), will organise an ‘Accession Run’ from the fourth Tawi Bridge in Jammu in which Ravinder Raina and many other senior party leaders will participate.
This ‘Accession Run’ will culminate at Maharaja Hari Singh Park at around 11 am. At the Hari Singh Park, senior BJP leaders including  President Raina, former Deputy Chief Ministers Kavinder Gupta and Nirmal Singh, and other senior leaders will address the gathering on the occasion.
The BJP Mahila Morcha will also celebrate the Accession Day at the main Tawi Bridge in Jammu later in the evening where the statute of Maharaja Hari Singh is being installed.
