Srinagar, Aug 14: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Thursday organised a spectacular Tiranga rally on the serene waters of Dal Lake, with the majestic mountains providing a stunning backdrop. The event, held under the aegis of the 144 Battalion CRPF and Srinagar Sector, was a vibrant display of patriotism and unity in Kashmir, embodying the true spirit of the nation.A statement issued here said that the officers, personnel of all ranks, and local residents participated with remarkable enthusiasm, creating a breathtaking spectacle as the Tiranga was carried across the shimmering waters of Dal Lake. The rally, led by DIG North Srinagar Sudhir Kumar, was organised as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Kumar said the initiative aimed to popularise the campaign in the region while paying tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters and security forces—a symbol of the nation’s integrity and unity. The event saw overwhelming public participation, with locals and tourists joining in the celebrations. It not only strengthened the bond between security forces and the people but also showcased the vibrant and inclusive spirit of Kashmir. Meanwhile, speaking to Rising Kashmir, Deputy Inspector General of CRPF Sudhir Kumar said this rally reflects patriotism, unity and love towards the nation. “Today’s rally was conducted along with the residents of Dal lake along with 144 battalion CRPF with full respects and honour. CRPF is committed to protect the nation’s integrity and sovereignty wherever it is deployed,” he said.
