In the fast-paced realm of social media, where content creators often vie for attention, Mir Tafazul, a 24 years old native of Srinagar, has taken the world of social media by storm with his captivating storytelling through Podcasting.
With more than four lac followers, Tafazul is garnering views in millions on his Podcasts. Known for starting the podcast culture in the region, Tafazul said that many people have followed his lead in starting podcasts.
Tafazul said he will soon release his new book, “Once Upon a Time in Kashmir” which is expected to share stories capturing the essence of Kashmir and will provide readers with a unique view of the valley’s cultural tales.
Tafazul discovered his love for stories at a young age when he found solace and joy in the tales shared by his parents and grandparents. This passion grew over time and lead him to pursue a career as a storyteller and content creator.
“I’ve always been attracted by stories and yearned to hear them from my parents ever since I was a young child. I used to spend a lot of time sitting with my grandparents and enjoy all the tales that they used to share with me. It used to make me joyful and transport me to the world in which I made up those stories”, Tafazul told Rising Kashmir.
After completing his undergraduate studies in economics at the University of Delhi, Tafazul started sharing stories that would resonate with people from all walks of life. His goal is simple yet profound: to heal hearts and spread positivity.
Tafazul believes that storytelling has the power to bring about change and inspire individuals to embark on new, happier journeys.
“I want to soothe the aching hearts and bring a smile of hope on the faces of broken people. I want to inspire them to start a new journey full of happines with my words and share such stories which can really motivate them to bring a change in their lives. I truly believe that storytellers are the most powerful people in the world, because their stories can change the lives of so many people. They can change it for good”, Tafazul added.
Tafazul began his content creation journey by uploading monologues in which people shared their own personal stories. His honest and relatable videos struck a chord with viewers, and his following began to grow rapidly.
Tafazul’s videos started going viral and he soon found himself receiving an overwhelming amount of love and support from viewers all around the world.
“I have always tried to find a story in everything and that is where it all started. I started my storytelling by approaching common people and asking them about topic like hurt, love, friendship and deception and I got great responses and there I understood that it was not just me but everyone actually likes to hear and share stories”, he added.
What sets Tafazul apart is his ability to connect with his audience on a deep level. His soothing voice and genuine storytelling have gained him a loyal following that looks to him for inspiration and hope.
His content aims to provide comfort and motivate individuals to overcome life’s challenges, no matter how difficult they may be.
“One of the things which I learned at a very young age was that everyone of us is living a story. A story which is written for us by the best of the writers, the creator. So whatever is written there for us, we should embrace it. We should accept whatever comes in our ways and overcome that bad chapter of our lives to start a new chapter of happiness and hope. I believe no story can be interesting if there are only good things in it, if there is no sadness and pain in it. There needs to be tragedies, heartbreaks, and disasters to make one’s story beautiful”, Tafazul said.
Looking towards the future, Tafazul has even bigger dreams. He plans to continue creating meaningful and relatable content that adds value to people’s lives. Beyond being a content creator, Tafazul aspires to be a friend and a source of support for his audience.
“I have a lot to do, I have many dreams, and I am working hard to achieve all of it. Right now I am focused on creating meaningful and relatable content for the people so that it adds value and meaning in their lives. I am focused on uploading content which makes people feel better and gives them hope to keep going in their lives no matter how hard or painful it gets. I want to heal the hearts of people by my words and videos and make them a stronger person emotionally and mentally”, Tafazul added.
