Jammu/Srinagar, July 26: The Traffic Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir, has issued a detailed advisory for vehicular movement across the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) and other major routes, in view of ongoing monsoon-related disruptions, ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, and road maintenance concerns.According to a statement issued here, traffic plan and advisory for July 27 reads that subject to favourable weather and road conditions–SANJY Convoy/LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) will be allowed from both sides on NH-44 (Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa).“HMVs will continue to ply on alternate days. TCU Jammu/Srinagar will coordinate with TCU Ramban before releasing traffic. Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra advisory includes–LMV/Passenger Car Cut-off Timings, from Nagrota (Jammu) to Srinagar: 0600–1200 hrs, from Jakheni (Udhampur) to Srinagar: 0700–1300 hrs, from Qazigund to Jammu: 1130–1400 hrs, HMVs/Load Carriers–subject to conditions, allowed from Navyug Tunnel (Qazigund side) to Jammu, no vehicle after 1900 hrs. Vehicles like tankers (petrol, diesel, LPG), FCI trucks, and empty LPG cylinder carriers must use Mughal Road on return,” the advisory said. For Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra – Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag (NH-244), LMVs/HPSVs shall be allowed both ways subject to fair weather and road clearance by NHIDCL.“From PP Parana to Anantnag: 0800–1600 hrs, from PP Daksum to Kishtwar: 0900–1500 hrs, only designated HPSVs allowed as per orders from SDM Chhatroo and SDM Kokernag. SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri), subject to BRO clearance and good weather, regulated movement permitted–Minamarg to Srinagar: LMVs followed by HMVs — 0500–1000 hrs, Sonamarg to Kargil: LMVs followed by HMVs — 1130–1730 hrs. No movement allowed after cut-off times.
