Jammu, Jul 08: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia on Tuesday participated in the Kabir Jayanti celebration held at Budhi, organised by the Satguru Kabir Sabha. The event honoured the life and teachings of the revered Saint Kabir Sahib and served as a reminder of his enduring legacy and the profound impact of his spiritual messages.The programme began with the garlanding of the portrait of Sant Kabir Ji, followed by a Satsang and Kirtan session. Speakers highlighted the teachings of Sant Kabir and urged attendees to follow his principles. Devotees offered sweet water (Shabeel) and participated in a community lunch (Langar), fostering a sense of unity and devotion.Addressing the gathering, Jasrotia said Kabir Sahib’s teachings promote values of compassion, equality, and spiritual growth. He encouraged, especially the youth, to incorporate these teachings into their daily lives, noting their relevance in today’s world.”Kabir Sahib’s message remains a guiding light, inspiring millions towards righteousness, love, and harmony. Kabir Sahib as a living spirit of God who preached the inner richness of human values and fought social discrimination,” he said. The MLA praised Kabir’s philosophy, saying his verse continues to guide humanity, helping society overcome hatred and bitterness.“Sant Kabir has blessed humanity with an eternal message of peace, love, and tranquillity. Those who follow his teachings would never commit injustice and would work towards building a just society based on equality,” he said, recalling the timeless wisdom of the saint.Jasrotia added that Kabir Sahib’s teachings encourage individuals to cultivate spirituality and contribute to societal harmony, underscoring the importance of embracing his ideals in our lives. “His life and philosophy serve as a beacon of righteousness, fostering a society rooted in love, equality, and mutual respect,” he said.
