RS Pura, June 29: J&K Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP)  Suchetgarh constituency incharge Karan Singh   today asked workers to gear up for the Urban Local Bodies and Panchayat elections which are expected to be held soon in Jammu and Kashmir. While addressing the party workers at Rathana  here today, Singh said the party needs to be ready for the election to take the state forward.”We have to make our party ready so that we win the municipality election with success and take this state forward,” he added.  “We have a comprehensive vision for developing this historic Jammu District in every sphere of life,” he said, reminding that during tenure as Chief Minister from 2002 to 2005, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had initiated many revolutionary steps for development of Jammu District. He said that people are wise enough to compare the present govt and the previous dispensation and appealed to the masses to reject those who put the state on the path of non-development and corruption.Singh said that Party President Mehbooba Mufti has a comprehensive vision for the socio-economic growth of Jammu region. He said that PDP in its agenda has always worked to implement a comprehensive programme so that Jammu will remain a favourite destination of tourists and devotees from all over the country and aboard. The workers also expressed complete faith and confidence in the leadership of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti to carry forward the party agenda. Singh emphasized the need to strengthen the party at the grassroots level to prepare for upcoming elections, including Panchayat and ULB polls.Singh said all parties aim to strengthen their base and come to power, and PDP workers must work on the ground and raise key public issues. He  urged party cadres to begin preparations for the overdue Panchayat and ULB elections in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that grassroots units will be further strengthened to face future electoral and organisational challenges.
