Srinagar, Jun 14: National Conference (NC) General Secretary and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Khanyar, Ali Mohammad Sagar on Saturday convened a review meeting with officials from all relevant departments, including the J&K Police, to ensure smooth and peaceful observance of forthcoming Muharram-ul-Haram.
MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar and delegations representing various areas of the Khanyar constituency also participated in the meeting, which focused on comprehensive preparations for the upcoming holy month, with discussions centring around key aspects such as security arrangements, infrastructure readiness, traffic regulation, and uninterrupted civic services.
MLA Ali Sagar stressed the importance of a unified and coordinated approach among all stakeholders to uphold the sanctity and spirit of Muharram ul Haram. He called for immediate redressal of public grievances, augmentation of essential services, and heightened security measures to ensure a peaceful environment during the commemorative events.
The meeting reaffirmed his commitment to working in close collaboration with the administration and the public to facilitate a dignified and well-organised observance of Muharram-ul-Haram.
