DGP reviews administrative, logistical preparedness for SANJY-2025

Srinagar, June 12: Director General of Police, J&K, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, today chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the administrative and logistical preparedness for the induction of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) ahead of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025. The meeting was convened at the Police Control Room, Kashmir, and witnessed participation from top officials of the Police, CRPF, ITBP, BSF, SSB, SDRF, Telecommunication Wing, and other allied agencies.
Among the senior officers present were Special DGP (Coordination) J&K S.J.M. Gillani, IPS; ADG CRPF J&K Rajesh Kumar, IPS; ADGP Headquarters J&K M.K. Sinha, IPS; ADGP Armed J&K Anand Jain, IPS; IGs and DIGs from various CAPFs and police units, along with SSPs of Srinagar, Anantnag, Ganderbal, and other Yatra-related districts.
Zonal Inspectors General of Police briefed the DGP on the current status of CAPF induction in their respective zones. They also provided updates on the administrative and logistical arrangements made for incoming companies at camping and transit sites. Senior CAPF officers expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, noting improvements in transportation and accommodations.
DGP Prabhat issued clear directions to ensure the seamless induction and effective ground deployment of CAPF companies. He emphasized the importance of inter-agency coordination and instructed that all district heads work closely with CAPFs to ensure readiness.
“The safe and smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 is our collective priority. All necessary arrangements must be streamlined, and coordination among forces should be at the highest level,” he stated.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment from all stakeholders to ensure a secure, efficient, and well-coordinated Yatra this year.
