Srinagar, Dec 02: The Chinar Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, took a comprehensive security review meeting in South Kashmir on Saturday.
Coordinating efforts across the counter-terrorism grid during the winter season, he lauded the troops for their meticulous planning and successful execution of the Arihal operation.
In an official statement from an army spokesperson, the Security Review Meeting chaired by Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai took place at Awantipur, Pulwama. The primary objective of the meeting was to assess the ongoing security scenario and synchronize counter-terrorism grid strategies tailored for the winter season.
The spokesperson highlighted Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai’s commendation of the troops for their exceptional planning and execution during Operation Arihal in Pulwama, which occurred from November 30 to December 1. The operation led to the elimination of a terrorist, and significant war-like stores were successfully recovered.
The review underscores the military’s unwavering commitment to ensuring robust security measures and effective counter-terrorism operations, particularly in challenging winter conditions. The meeting acknowledged the dedication and competence of the troops involved in safeguarding the region.
