Srinagar, May 22: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and DDC member, Er Aijaz Hussain on Thursday led a grand Tiranga Bike Rally from Panthachowk to the iconic Ghanta Ghar at Lalchowk, Srinagar.
The rally was organised to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, drawing participation from hundreds of enthusiastic bike riders carrying the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans through the heart of the city, according to a statement issued here.
The rally, symbolising the spirit of a united and progressive Kashmir, began at Panthachowk and culminated at Lalchowk. The enthusiastic turnout, particularly among the youth, reflected strong support for the vision of peace and development in the region.
Addressing the gathering at Lalchowk, Er Aijaz Hussain lauded the tireless efforts and bravery of the security forces involved in Operation Sindoor. He congratulated the people of Kashmir for their resilience and unwavering commitment to the nation.
“Kashmiris are nationalists at heart. They have made immense sacrifices for the country. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, Kashmir is steadily moving towards an era of peace, progress, and prosperity,” Er Hussain said.
The rally witnessed the active participation of BJP office bearers, executive members, and special invitees. Among the notable participants were senior leaders BJP Sajid Yousuf Shah and Sahil Bashir Bhat, Constituency President Umer Shafi, VP Nasrullah Mattoo, VP Shabir Ahmad, VP Jan Sahib, Constituency Secretary Bilal Ahmad, Office Secretary Nadeem Ahmad, Treasurer Mohd Yaseen, Media Incharge Shoaib Sofi, Muzamil Bhat, Azhar Mehraj, Executive Member Adil Ahmad, Rameez Ahmad, and Sartaj Ahmad. Their presence and support further energised the event, especially among the youth, the statement said.
The event concluded with resounding chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” at Lalchowk, marking a proud and symbolic moment in the ongoing journey of Kashmir’s deeper integration with the national mainstream.
