Srinagar, Apr 30: Areeza Javid Kawa, a student of Green Valley Educational Institute, Srinagar, has emerged as the overall topper in the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Class 12 examinations, securing an impressive 496 out of 500 marks (99.2%) in the Arts stream.
Her outstanding performance has earned widespread appreciation from educators, peers, and the general public across the Union Territory.
In the Commerce stream, Adiba from Kashmir Harvard Higher Secondary School secured the top position with 495 marks. She was followed closely by Tanzila Hamid and Zainab Bilal from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Amira Kadal, both of whom scored 494 marks.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, Areeza stressed that the importance of balancing both education and faith. “We should never neglect either religion or studies. Both are equally important in shaping our personality and future. We should not miss anything among them,” she said.
Areeza mentioned that she studied with a normal routine without any extra coaching. She urged students not to take stress and instead focus on consistency and self-belief. “There is no need to stress. Just stay focused and follow your daily routine with dedication,” she advised.
Having lost her father three and a half years ago, Areeza credited her mother and family for being her constant support system. “My mother, and my family stood by me throughout this journey,” she said.
Areeza said she aspires to clear the UPSC Civil Services Examination and serve the people of her valley. “I want to become a public servant and work for the betterment of society,” she said.
