Jammu, Mar 11: Highlighting the significant strides India has made in healthcare over the past decade under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha praised the country’s advancements in medical technology and treatment.
“India’s innovations in healthcare technologies and treatment methods are now recognized as among the best globally. Our healthcare professionals have demonstrated exceptional excellence and are competing with the foremost health institutions in developed nations,” he said
Inaugurated the Shri Birendra Rai Hospital at Areraj, Motihari, Bihar, the Lieutenant Governor extended his congratulations and heartfelt felicitations to the family of the late Shri Birendra Rai and everyone associated with the hospital. He highlighted the institution’s role in offering specialized healthcare services using the latest cutting-edge medical technology.
The Lieutenant Governor further emphasised that India’s healthcare system, characterized by high standards of care, equitable access, people-centered services, and cost-effective solutions, has firmly established the country as a premier destination for medical treatment.
“Shri Birendra Rai Ji’s family has been instrumental in steering this esteemed institution for public service and care. I convey my good wishes to Shri Rajeev Kumar, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, and their family for the dedicated service they continue to provide,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
Recognising the emerging challenges in the healthcare sector, he underscored the need to focus on developing specialized human resources and expanding access to affordable medical care. He called for greater collaboration between the public and private sectors to meet these evolving demands.
“We must now focus on expanding the coverage of health services and ensuring that affordable and quality medical facilities reach even the most remote areas, while maintaining high standards of care across the entire healthcare spectrum,” the Lieutenant Governor concluded.
