Srinagar, Nov 05: The senior leaders of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) on Sunday visited the residence of slain Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar in Tangmarg area of Baramulla and extended their condolences to the bereaved family.
The party leaders expressed their grief over the killing of Dar by terrorists and said that he sacrificed his life for the nation and our better tomorrow. “We share the grief of the family that lost their sole bread earner. We urge the government to offer a job to one of their family members so that they can live life with dignity and honour,” said Mohd Amin Bhatt, provincial President in a statement.
The party Chief Spokesperson Salman Nizami said that the sacrifice of Dar shall be remembered for generations to come. “He is survived by seven brave daughters who are all yet to be married,” he said
District President Baramulla Shoaib Nabi Lone while praying for the slain Dar said that terrorism has no face and is consuming innocent lives. He said terrorism must be condemned in all its forms. Sajjad Ahmed, Senior DPAP leader was also president on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the DPAP organised a condolence meeting on Sunday in Jammu. The condolence meeting was organised to pay tributes to the late Puran Singh Ji, R/o Chandigarh-Punjab, brother-in-law of R S Chib General Secretary (Org) DPAP, who passed away on Saturday.
All the DPAP leaders expressed their condolences and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
