CNMS signs MoU with National Sports University

New Delhi/Imphal, Feb 14,: The Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS – NaMo Kendra) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Sports University (NSU), Manipur.
This collaboration aims to advance academic and research excellence in sports education, governance, and related fields.

In her letter, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, Prof. Usha S. Nair, said, “NSU acknowledges the significant role CNMS has been playing as a global think tank, bringing together thought leaders, scholars, and professionals to address critical governance and societal challenges. Your focus on areas such as sports education, sports science research, public policy, international relations, and innovation resonates deeply with the mission and vision of NSU.”

She further added, “We are enthusiastic about the prospect of partnering with CNMS to undertake collaborative research projects in sports science, governance, and related fields; facilitate academic exchanges to promote knowledge sharing among scholars, students, and faculty; and organize seminars, workshops, and programs that align with shared objectives, such as ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and initiatives under the National Education Policy.”

Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of CNMS, expressed his gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “We are delighted to partner with National Sports University, which is committed to advancing excellence in sports education, research, and training. We aim to contribute to the holistic development of sports and allied fields in India and beyond.”

This partnership is expected to create new opportunities for research, academic growth, and innovation in the fields of sports and governance, benefiting students, researchers, and faculty alike. The collaboration aligns with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 .

Prof. Jasim Mohammad further emphasized the importance of bringing renowned sports personalities into this collaboration, stating, “As part of our initiative, we will establish a six-member committee to drive key projects under this MoU. We plan to approach legendary athletes such as P.T. Usha, Sania Mirza, and Neeraj Chopra to be part of this committee, ensuring that our efforts benefit from their invaluable experience and insights in shaping the future of sports education and governance in India.”
