DG-YSS addresses evaluators as Stage-2 Evaluation of Essays process for 28th NYF concludes

Jammu, Dec 18: Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K, Rajinder Singh Tara addressed the evaluators and the coordinators and appreciated them for completing the process of Stage-2 ‘Evaluation of Essays’ (Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue) for 28th National Youth Festival 2024-25 in a most befitting manner at Government College for Women (GCW) Parade here on Wednesday.
Tara said that such programmes help in channelising the energy of youth in the right direction, adding there is a long philosophy behind holding these programmes for holistic development of the youth.
He said the objective of such programmes is to involve every citizen of the country in nation-building activities to see India flourish.
Tara was briefed by Jitendra Mishra, Nodal Officer of the programme that 650 participants were evaluated by 30 evaluators in 2-days process, who had forwarded essays on ten topics including Tech for Viksit Bharat, Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi, Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat, Enhancing Productivity in Agriculture, Making India the Startup Capital of the World, Making India -A Sporting and Fit Nation, Making India the Global Manufacturing Powerhouse, Making India Energy Efficient, Building the Infrastructure for the Future and Empowering Women and Improving Social Indicators.
As part of the preparations for the 28th National Youth Festival 2024, the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) and Government College for Women (GCW) Parade conducted this 2-day event, which was organised under the patronage of Secretary to Government Youth Services and Sports Department, Sarmad Hafeez; Director General Youth Services and Sports, Rajinder Singh Tara and Director Colleges, Dr Sheikh Ajaz Bashir.
Earlier, the programme had begun with the introductory notes by Jitendra Mishra, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports Central and Nitin Hangloo, Officer from NYK, while Principal GCW Parade, Ravinder Tickoo presided over 2-days proceedings and Dr Gurpreet Kaur, NSS Programme Officer GCW Parade acted as the Chief Coordinator of the event.
The coordinators of the programme drawn from the Department of Youth Services and Sports included Rajesh Dhar, Pankaj Sasan, Dr Vikrant Singh, Pawandeep Kaur, Parveen Kaur, Harvinder Kaur, Jyoti Sharma, Ruhaniat Singh Jamwal and Ajay Kumar.

The evaluators included Shahbaz Ahmad, Munisha Devi, Joginder Kumar, Dheeraj Kumar, Moni Mehra, Sanjeev Upadhya, Bharti Slathia, Amit Bhalla, Neelam Kumari, Om Raj Katoch, Neha Bhagat, Meeshu Pandita, Dr BB Sehgal, Dr Sanjay Kotwal, Prof Harpreet Kour, Neenu, Prof Arun Sharma, Dr Rakesh Choudhary, Prof Ramzan Ali, Dr Shivani Sharma, Prof Vijeeta Anand, Dr Monika Bhat, Prof Rakesh Kumar, Dr Neeru Sawhney, Mr Sham Lal, Prof Kusha Sharma, Dr Rakesh Kalotra, Prof Vijay Kumar, Prof Pooja Sharma and Dr Chanchal Angral.
