Srinagar, Nov 09: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Lal Chowk, Ahsan Pardesi on Saturday called for addressing pressing public issues such as water scarcity, electricity supply, road infrastructure and timely distribution of ration.
Chairing a meeting with officers here, Pardesi urged the officers to prioritise preparing for the upcoming winter season and ensuring they are ready to handle any emergencies that may arise. The meeting was also attended by senior National Conference leader and provincial president of the party’s Women’s Wing, Er Sabiya Qadri.
Ahsan called on the administration to take action and be proactive in addressing winter challenges. He expressed concern over the lack of implementation following meetings and stressed the importance of coordination among departments to avoid compounding hardships for the public.
The MLA recommended that the PDD create a comprehensive schedule for power distribution, stockpile transformers, poles, and conductors in advance, and prioritise tree branch cutting well before winter arrives.
