Jammu, Oct 30: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office, Jammu, successfully concluded its “Hindi Pakhwada-2024” with a closing ceremony held on Wednesday. The fortnight-long event, observed from September 14 to September 29, was organized across EPFO’s Regional Offices in Jammu and Leh, Ladakh, aiming to promote Hindi in official communications.
The event was attended by special invitee Pankaj Rastogi, Regional Director, Directorate of Training for Non-Banking and Warehousing Education and Development (D.T.N.B.W.E.D), and hosted by Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner–I (RPFC-I). Both dignitaries highlighted the importance of Hindi in official discourse and commended “Hindi Pakhwada” as a valuable initiative to foster teamwork and a spirit of healthy competition.
The ceremony celebrated officers and staff who actively participated in various competitions, including ‘Vichar Pratiyogita,’ ‘Nibandh Pratiyogita,’ and ‘Tippan and Aalekhan Pratiyogita,’ which encouraged Hindi usage in official documentation. In a vibrant closing event, the winners received certificates and cash awards ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 5,000.
Notable winners included Sanjeev Kumar, SSSA; Prabhat Kumar, SSSA; Amrendra Rohit, SSSA; Pritpal Singh, ASO; Prathima V., AO; Bal Krishan, EO/AO; Asha Rani, SS; Pranav Gupta, ASO; Ashwani Gaind, Programmer; Shamsher Singh, SSSA; and Sunil Sharma, SSA. The EPFO Jammu Office expressed pride in the participation of staff from RO, Leh, whose contributions were also recognized.
Rizwan Uddin commended the successful event, lauding it as a unique opportunity for EPFO staff to express their views while promoting the Rajbhasha, or official language, Hindi, within the organization.
