Jammu, Sept 17: A tree plantation drive was organized at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jammu & Kashmir Branch Office (JKBO), as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.

Deputy Director General (North), Mrs. Sneh Lata, planted a sapling within the office premises to mark the occasion. The event saw the presence of Director Tilak Raj, along with other BIS officials, who actively participated in the drive.

The Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative encourages citizens to plant a tree in the name of their mothers, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment while honoring motherhood.

BIS Jammu & Kashmir Branch Office is committed to participating in such campaigns to contribute to environmental conservation. The event concluded with BIS officials pledging further efforts toward a greener future.
