Bandipora, Feb 01: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday seized two vehicles in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District in connection with terrorism case.
An official told Rising Kashmir that a Maruti Swift bearing registration number JK15B-0457 and a Maruti Eco having registration number JK15A-1528 were taken into custody under the UA(P) Act as they were deemed linked to terrorism.
The official also said that the confiscated swift vehicle belonged to Javid Iqbal Khan of Nusoo Bandipora and Maruti Eco to Maqsood Ahmad Malik of Chittibandy Aragam.
The action is considered a significant setback to the activities of those involved in terrorism in the district.
The official said that the seized vehicles will play a crucial role in ongoing investigations related to the case (FIR No.15/2022 U/s of UA(P) & I.A Act of PS Aragam), aiding law enforcement in uncovering further details.
