Budgam, Oct 10: The Government Nursing College of Budgam and the ANM School Budgam on Thursday organised an AIDS Awareness Programme, which saw participation from officials of the Health Department and representatives from the Jammu and Kashmir State AIDS Control Society.
During the event, the dignitaries delivered speeches to the students, focusing on prevention strategies and methods to mitigate the risk of HIV transmission.
The discussions encompassed various preventive measures against AIDS, with particular emphasis on raising awareness about the dangers associated with injecting drugs.
Furthermore, the dignitaries informed the students about ways to protect themselves from AIDS.
Students from both the Government Nursing College of Budgam and the ANM School Budgam engaged in discussions on a range of topics related to HIV/AIDS. The dignitaries commended the students for their efforts in addressing various aspects of the AIDS awareness programme.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Principal GMC Srinagar Professor Dr. Iffat Hassan, Chief Medical Officer Budgam Dr. Ayoub Fateh Khanre, Deputy CMO Budgam Dr. Tehmeena Bukhari, the Assistant Director from the J&K State AIDS Control Society and his team, Principal ANM School Budgam Dr. Nuzhat Yasmeena, as well as teachers and administrative staff from the ANM School Budgam.
Additionally, students from the Government Nursing College of Budgam, the ANM School Budgam, and the Government Middle School Khanpora also participated in this programme.
