Former MLA Bandipora, Minister of State Usman Majid on Monday said that the promises of National Conference of bringing Article 370 back will never be fulfilled, alleging they never achieved their promises of their manifestos.

Usman Majid said that the national conference getting support from the BJP is not new and says it became clear they are part of the BJP after Omar received support from the Apni party candidate in Budgam.

“My decision to leave the Apni party was not wrong. It is clear now that NC, and Apni, are part of BJP; they both are on the same line now.”

He added, the political parties in Kashmir still befool people with fake promises and say they are part of the BJP which they now need to accept.

“Congress supported the abrogation of Article 370 in parliament when the bill was presented now as NC claims they will bring Article 370 back. It does not make any sense because Congress will never support it,”.

He further added that the entry of new candidates in Congress the day before submitting the nomination has demotivated both the alliance party cadres in Bandipora and says they will not be able to turn a vote bank of those parties.

Majid hoped the people would choose their candidates cautiously and hoped to retain power for a third straight time. (KNS)
