The comprehensive approach of Utter Pradesh Govt in Barabanki District to provide public services and address citizens’ needs directly at their doorsteps by involving efficient and citizen-centric service delivery, minimizing bureaucratic hurdles, and leveraging technology for seamless interactions has established it as the epitome of doorstep governance.
Being the major Contributor in the farming sector, a total of four lac fifty thousand farmers in 1155 Gram Panchayats are getting benefits under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Saman Nidhi in Barabanki district which is highest in the state.
District Magistrate Barabanki, Satyendra Kumar told Rising Kashmir that Barabanki is set to attract an investment of 20 thousand crores, with 50% allocated specifically to the agriculture sector.
He said that under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, 16 lac eighteen thousand cards have been provided to beneficiaries, and many have utilized these cards to access health benefits for major ailments.
Kanchan Devi, a patient from Mohammadpur chandan singh panchayat told Rising Kashmir that her family member faced a serious heart ailment, requiring surgery but unfortunately, they lacked the financial means or any land to sell for the procedure.
“Feeling helpless, i relied on divine intervention. However, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) brought a glimmer of hope. Thanks to PMAY, the much-needed surgery was successfully carried out, and now, thankfully, my family member has recovered”, she added.
Chief Development Officer Ekta Singh said that those who have been deprived of the schemes of the Central Government are being included in the mainstream through Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in 1155 Gram Panchayats.
Ekta said schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana are the major schemes that have been implemented across the Barabanki district and people have taken the benefits of these schemes.
As this Correspondent visited the Gram Panchayats of District Barabanki, Panchayats have been transformed into comprehensive centers for addressing various issues and providing solutions. All necessary elements have been conveniently placed within the Panchayat Bhavan for the people’s convenience.
Ekta said that with the “Medplus” mobile application, citizens can easily schedule appointments with doctors and diagnostic services according to their convenience with just one click.
She also said that in each Gram Panchayat, the administration is considering the construction of parks under MNREGA, with 34 parks already established for public convenience.
She further said that the farmers have received comprehensive education on the application of balanced fertilizers, natural farming practices, and the technique of utilizing nano urea through drones.
Two drones, along with training for two women from the district, have been provided who now spray fields with nano urea and ensure balanced fertilizer distribution for the farmers, she added.
