Jammu AIIMS to begin OPD services from Aug 1

Jammu, July 30: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Vijaipur in Jammu is set to commence its OPD services on August 1.
The initiative marks a significant step in providing essential healthcare services to the region.
Dr. Shakti Gupta, Director of Jammu AIIMS, informed that the OPD services will be available in 20 Specialty Departments and 9 Super Specialty Departments.
In addition to OPD consultations, the institute will offer laboratory tests and radiological imaging.
The Jammu AIIMS is poised to be the first of the two planned AIIMS in Jammu and Kashmir to begin patient care services. The Super Specialty Departments launching OPD services include Endocrinology, Pediatric Surgery, CTVS, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Urology, Burns and Plastic Surgery, and Surgical Gastroenterology.
The Specialty Departments starting services will include General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Psychiatry, Psychotherapy Clinic, Orthopedics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pain Clinic, Palliative Care Clinic, Family Medicine, Immunohematology Clinic, Radiotherapy, Dentistry, Conservative Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, and Trauma & Emergency Medicine.
Appointments can be scheduled through the ‘AIIMS Jammu Swasthya’ app.
The institute will operate Monday to Saturday, with registration times from 8:30 AM to 11 AM for general OPD services and from 12:30 PM to 2 PM for specialty clinics.
