DPS Srinagar concludes day one of TechKnow 2024

Srinagar, July 28: The first day of the 12th edition of the annual tech fest: Khyber Cement TechKnow 2024 was held at DPS Srinagar on Sunday. For the past eleven years the gala is being hosted and conducted every year by CyberCrew, the tech club of DPS Srinagar DPS Srinagar.
Participants are provided with hands on training by students and experts in a wide range of tech domains including: Programming Basics led by Mohammed Hammad, Web Development led by Meesam, Graphic Design led by Zainab Iqbal, Video Editing led by Abdullah bin Zubair, Game Development led by Imad Tahir, Robotics and IoT led by Mohammed Saad and Digital Marketing by Umer Tariq.

The event commenced with a formal opening ceremony hosted by Abdullah bin Zubair and Zainab Iqbal. The inaugural ceremony featured a short film on the importance of technology, which highlighted the transformative power of tech in education and everyday life.

Over the course of the day over 250 students from schools across the valley participated in the various workshops.

Commenting at the end of day 1, the Principal Shafaq Afshan said, “ Our school has always taken the lead in conducting and organising events that nurture and refine the talents of students across all fields. TechKnow is a further testament of this aspect that we have taken great care to cultivate. We are proud of the fact that our students have evolved to the extent that they can serve as instructors.”

The Chairman, Vijay Dhar also reflected on the event and said, “The Motto: Service before self has never been mere tokenism at DPS Srinagar. Rather our concerted efforts as seen in the organisation of Tech Know over the years proves we consider the motto a most sacred pledge that we remain forever bound by to transform the valley into a cradle of talent. It is my greatest delight and pride that the legacy continues undiminished. Well done Cyber Crew and bravo participants!”

TechKnow 2024 is supported by Khyber Cements, Rehmat Spices, PhysicWallah, Red FM and Signature Advertisements.
