Ganderbal, July 23: Sub divisional Administration Kangan Tuesday have issued a public safety advisory following reports of individuals, particularly youngsters, engaging in hazardous activities such as swimming, taking selfies, and photography on the banks of Nallah Sindh and Nallah Wangath area of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Asper the order issued by SDM Kangan that reads It has come to the notice of the undersigned that people especially youngsters are engaging in activities such as swimming, taking selfies, and photography on the banks of Nallah Sindh and Nallah Wangath. Due to the recent heatwave, the flow of water in these nallahs has significantly increased, posing a serious risk to life.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors, an advisory is issued as to Refrain from Swimming in Nallah Sindh and Wangath Nallah as unexpected water surges can lead to accidents and drowning Standing close to the edge of the banks to take selfies or photographs is highly risky. Slippery surfaces and sudden water movements can lead to falls and accidents.
General Public is requested to witness any unsafe activities or individuals ignoring this advisory, and shall report it to the local authorities immediately as your cooperation is essential in preventing accidents.
