Police, civil admin intensify market checking in Budgam

Budgam, Jun 15: Ahead of Eid ul Azha, intensive market checking was carried out at various markets of District Budgam in order to keep a check on overpricing, profiteering and black marketing.
Joint teams of District Police Budgam, Revenue Administration of concerned areas carried out the market checking at various markets of District Budgam including Main town Budgam, Peerbagh, Magam, Chadoora, Charar-i-Sharief, Narbal, Waterhail, Khanshab to ensure all essential commodities are sold at Government approved rates, as per the quality standards with sufficient availability.
During the checking, the team members checked rate lists, ensured hygienic environment and that package commodities sold to consumers bear MRP, Package date, Net Content and other related information.
