Baramulla, June 08: As part of the ongoing inter-school zonal level competitions, the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Baramulla organized inter-school zonal level competitions in Zone Dangiwacha and Zone Rohama on Saturday.
In Zone Dangiwacha, YSS organized inter-school zonal level Kho Kho and Volleyball competitions for U-14 and U-17 girls at HSS Dangiwacha. A total of 456 U-14 students and 106 U-17 students from various schools in Zone Dangiwacha participated in these competitions.
Similarly, in Zone Rohama, inter-school zonal level competitions in Kho Kho and Volleyball for U-14 and U-17 girls were held at HSS Rohama. The ongoing events saw the participation of approximately 243 students, showcasing their best sports skills.
DYSSO Baramulla emphasized the importance of such events in fostering sportsmanship and physical fitness among young girls. He highlighted the role of these competitions in providing a platform for students to demonstrate their talents and build a spirit of healthy competition.
