75th Battalion CRPF, Srinagar, celebrated 77th Independence Day with full vigor, joy and enthusiasm. Celebration started with K K Pandey commandant 75 Battalion hoisted the National flag and gave National Salute at the quarter guard. 
On the occasion of this national festival, Pandey extended his best wishes to all the officers and jawans present and said I bow with full devotion to those freedom fighters whose tireless efforts and sacrifices made India free from the shackles of slavery and due to which we are able to breathe peacefully in the open environment. At the same time, I also pay my heartfelt salute to those brave hearts who sacrificed their lives to keep the unity and integrity of India intact. 
Pandey further said that after observing the last 76 years we find that our country has achieved a high position in the world despite going through various ups and downs and our National Flag has a pride in the world. 
Since independence, our country has progressed in various fields, whether it is in the field of agriculture, in the field of science and technology, in the field of trade, sports, and has made a high position in the world. Pandey in his address said that the important responsibility of the internal security of the country rests on the strong shoulders of the Central Reserve Police Force, which our brave soldiers are performing with utmost vigilance, dutifulness, indomitable courage and I hope that in the coming time you will fulfill this responsibility with all sincerity. 
At the same time, Pandey said that I am very happy to inform that on the occasion of Independence Day 2023, total 94 medals including 04 Kirti Chakra (Posthumously) 01 Shaurya Chakra and 1 PPMG, 27 PMG (Police Medal for Gallantry), 05 President’s Police Medal (PPM) for Distinguished Service and 56 Police Medal (PM) for Meritorious Service have been awarded to Central Reserve Police Force.  Pandey congratulated the medal winners officers and Jawans and their families. 
On this auspicious occasion, Pandey attended “At Home Party” at subordinate officer’s mess. In the evening a sports competition was organized in the Battalion which was enjoyed by all the personnel. “Bada Khana” was also organized for the Unit personnel.
