Srinagar, June 21: Srinagar witnessed a spectacular celebration of International Yoga Day as the 75 Battalion gathered on Wednesday morning. The serene setting of a green and flowery garden, accompanied by a refreshing breeze, set the stage for this significant event.
During the commemoration, Commandant K K Pandey engaged with the jawans, shedding light on the significance of the day and India’s commitment to the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” in its global interactions. He further emphasized that yoga has seamlessly integrated into our daily lives and has emerged as a powerful tool for reducing stress. Regular practice of yoga is the key to achieving a healthy and disease-free lifestyle, which positively impacts both our physical and mental well-being.
The event then transitioned to a session led by trained yoga personnel who guided the Battalion members through a series of sequential yoga kriyas, beginning with gentle and gradually progressing to moderate asanas. The hour-long session culminated in a deep sense of stress relief, with the refreshing air of the surroundings aiding in purifying the soul through regular breathwork during the yoga asanas.
Distinguished guests were also present to grace the occasion, including Sumit Kumar (2IC), Narendra Yadav (2IC), Arvind Kumar (DC), Kamlesh Pandey (AC), and Ms. Rose Maria Jose (MO).
