Srinagar, Mar 16: The 71st B.N. Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2023 continued with the final day of league stage matches at four different venues. Fifteen matches were played, including 12 men’s and 3 women’s matches, with hard-fought battles seen among the teams to secure their entry into the pre-quarterfinals.
At Bakshi Stadium, three women’s matches were played. The match between SSB Women and Jharkhand Police Women ended with a defeat for Jharkhand Police as they failed to score a single goal against the dominating SSB team, resulting in a final score of 20:0. In another match between Assam Rifles Women and J&K Police Women, the J&K Police women’s team lost the match with a final score of 4-0. The match between Tamil Nadu Police Women and Odisha Police Women ended in a goalless draw.
At Polo Ground, Haryana Police won the match against Goa Police with a close score of 2:1. Arunachal Police defeated Bihar Police by 1:0. In another intense match between Tamil Nadu Police and Puducherry Police, Tamil Nadu Police emerged victorious with a score of 5:1. The match between Telangana Police and Uttarakhand Police was won by Uttarakhand Police with a score of 0:3.
At Kashmir University, RPF won the match against Himachal Pradesh Police with a final score of 2:3. The match between Delhi Police and BSF was won by BSF with a score of 2:0. The match between CISF and ITBP ended with a score of 3:0 in favor of CISF. The match between Jharkhand Police and Gujarat Police was won by Jharkhand Police with a score of 2:0.
At Synthetic Turf Ground, Assam Police won against Manipur Police with a final score of 3:1. Punjab Police won the match against Rajasthan Police with a score of 3:2. The match between Kerala Police and J&K Police was won by Kerala Police with a final score of 1:0. Mizoram Police won the match against Madhya Pradesh Police with a score of 0:6.
Dignitaries including COs of JKAP 9th Bn, IRP 20th Bn, IRP 17th, IRP 4th Bn, and Dy. COs of IRP 6th Bn, IRP 9th Bn, IRP 23rd Bn, and other officers were present at the venues as chief guests.
