3 Kashmiri doctors bring laurels to J&K

Srinagar, Dec 18: The three doctors of Kashmir valley were felicitated with top awards during Pankoshmia Talents of Healthcare Professionals (PTH) awards 2022 held at Chandigarh on Saturday.
The three dynamic Kashmiri doctors including Prof. Dr Ajaz Ahmad Shah, Dr. Adil Malik and Dr. Humaira were felicitated by the chief guest Dr Avnish Kumar, Director Research and Medical Education, Government of Punjab.
Dr Ajaz Ahmad Shah, Prof & HOD Oral and maxillofacial surgery at Government Dental College Srinagar has been awarded “Life Time Achievement Award in Oral and maxillofacial surgery”.
Dr Adil Rasool Malik, a senior dental surgeon, health and medical education department Jammu and Kashmir has been awarded with “Scientific Services Achievement Award” and Dr. Humaira Bhat has been awarded “Outstanding oral health promoter Award”.
Dr Ajaz Ahmad Shah has brought about a drastic change in the field of advanced Maxillofacial surgery as he had introduced maxillofacial facial surgery in Jammu and Kashmir and is pioneer of Temporo-mandibular joint, Maxillofacial trauma and dental Implants.
Prof Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Shah while thanking the jury said that this shall go a long way in inspiring them to work with zeal and dedication and is a recognition for his teachers & mentors in the field.
Adil Rasool has focused his work on spindle cell lesions and has classified the spindle cell lesions. This classification has been done for the first time. He has pioneered this classification and many other recognized scientific studies that have been appreciated by various experts.
Dr Humaira Bhat a dental surgeon has been proving to be a very dedicated oral health promoter at a very young age.
Society for Scientific Research & Studies (SSRS) with the aim of promoting quality health care by encouraging youth and pioneers in healthcare industry and scholarly world started the Pankosmia Talents Of Healthcare (PTH) Professionals Summit Awards in the country’s most authoritative Summit and Awards for healthcare industry.
PTH Summit and Awards is the forum that brings together decision makers, community leaders, innovators and influencers from the government industry, the non-profit sector and all other stakeholders to address the opportunities and challenges for the improvement of health based outcomes in India.
