Srinagar, Sep 18: In a commendable display of community service, the 29th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), located in the Srinagar Sector, organized a free medical camp at Badshah Colony (Football ground), Sanat Nagar on Monday.
The event was conducted as part of the Civic Action Drive of Srinagar Sector, CRPF, and aimed to provide essential medical assistance to the local population.
The medical camp, which operated from 0830 hrs to 1230 hrs, saw an impressive turnout, drawing in residents not only from Sanat Nagar but also from neighboring areas. A total of 175 patients received medical check-ups in the camp and were provided with free medicines.
The event was inaugurated by Pradipta Kumar Sahu, Commandant of the 29th Bn, CRPF, who was joined by other dignitaries, including Anil Kumar Jha, 2-IC, Jitendra Kumar, 2-IC, Chanchal Parwana, Dy. Commandant, and a team of dedicated doctors, including Isma Maqsood, Salma Nabi, and Anjum Reshi, among others.
The initiative received widespread appreciation from the local residents, who expressed their gratitude for the much-needed healthcare services. Abdul Rashid Alayee, President of Jamia Masjid, Goripora, Sanat Nagar, also visited the site and extended his support to assist the locals.
Pradipta Kumar Sahu, Commandant of the 29th Bn, CRPF, shared his thoughts on the event, stating, “It is a small step towards winning and healing the hearts of the locals, and the 29th Battalion, CRPF, will continue to organize such events in the future as part of our commitment to community welfare.”
