Jammu, Mar 15: A total of 278 posts of doctors (faculty) and 928 posts of paramedical staff nurses/paramedical/ministerial staff have been lying vacant in GMC-Jammu and its Associated Hospitals.
This was informed in the House on Saturday by the government in response to BJP MLA, Arvind Gupta.
In GMC-Jammu and its Associated Hospitals, a total of 639 posts have been sanctioned for doctors (faculty) out of which 361 have been filled while 278 are vacant, the government said.
Similarly, 2987 posts of paramedical staff nurses/paramedical/ministerial staff have been sanctioned out of which 2059 have been filled, while 928 posts have been lying vacant, the government said.
464 posts of MTS/Class IV have been lying vacant in GMC-Jammu and its Associated Hospitals, the government said. There are a total of 1767 sanctioned posts in this category, out of which 1303 have been filled, the government said.
