Ganderbal, Aug 03: A tragic accident occurred on Sunday along the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) Road near Ramwari Gund in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, resulting in the death of an 11-year-old boy.According to locals, an Alto vehicle bearing registration number JK09D/6016 struck a pedestrian, identified as Sahil Showkat, son of Showkat Ahmad Raina, a resident of Tantray Mohallah Gund. The boy sustained critical injuries in the incident.He was immediately rushed to PHC Gund for medical assistance and subsequently referred to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kangan. However, doctors at SDH Kangan declared him brought dead.Police have taken cognisance of the incident, and further investigation is underway.
