Srinagar, Feb 03: In the series of public outreach programme, on Saturday 10 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal, Batmaloo, Srinagar organized Medical Camp at Srinagar Municipal Corporation for populace of Karan Nagar area, Srinagar.
Dr. Arun Choudhary, Assistant Commandant (MO) of 10 Bn SSB checked health condition and gave treatment to approx. 142 local people. During the programme, free medicines were distributed to local populace of the Karan nagar area. Further, awareness on “Beti Bachhao, Beti Padao”, “Swechhta Hi Seva” “Mission Life style” and how-to free people from addiction of drugs etc. were also created and sensitized about the ill-effects of Drugs on health and wellness. Guidelines were also issued for the maintenance of hygiene and sanitation.
Commandant, 10Battalion, SSB, Rohitashwa said such programmes would continue to be in the future, such events create a good image of the force and develop a sense of security among the local people and SSB. He added, SSB has always been doing its best for the welfare of the local people in the area. The programme was much appreciated by the local populace. The event reflects the cordial relationship and harmony between the local populace and 10 Battalion SSB, Srinagar.
