How to make Gajar ka Halwa

Gajar Ka Halwa is one of the most loved winter desserts. The dessert is made ofcarrots whichare loaded with vitamin A that boosts eye health. It is packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Carrots are great for your immune system. Try this recipe at home.
• 1 kg carrots
• 1/2 litre milk
• 1 cup sugar (adjust as per your taste)
• 3 tablespoons Ghee
• 1/2 teaspoons Green cardamom powder
• 1/2 cup crumbled Mawa (khoya)
• 3 tablespoon Mixed Nuts (Pistachios, Almonds, cashews Nuts) or as per your choice
Wash, peel and grate carrots using the thick side of a hand grater or food processor.
Add the grated carrots to a large pan and turn heat to medium-high. Saute the carrots for 5 minutes. Now add the milk to the pan and cook on medium flame stir frequently until all the liquid is evaporated.
Add ghee and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add the cardamom powder, Mawa, Nuts and mix well. Garnish Gajer ka Halwa with Almonds and serve warm.
