Zero tolerance policy against corruption: ADC B’la

Baramulla, Nov 03: As part of ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week 2023, a series of activities are being organised by all government offices to mark its observance in Baramulla district.
At Dak Bungalow, the District Administration Baramulla organised an interaction session with Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf and Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Zahoor Ahmad Raina holding day long interaction with RTI activists, Social activists and Complainants to foster transparency in the government system.
The day long interaction session was held on the theme ‘Say No to Corruption, Commit to the Nation’.
On the occasion, the event united a diverse group of participants, voicing their perspectives and advocating for a robust strategy to combat the scourge of corruption.
Their unified presence and active engagement served as a powerful testament to a collective dedication towards forging a society that thrives on transparency and integrity.
Various departments including Revenue, R&B and Transport departments imparted necessary training with regard to the online services being provided by them.
Interacting with the participants, the ADDC said that various major initiatives have been taken to curb corruption and highlighted the measures that the government has undertaken towards its zero tolerance policy for corruption.
During the session, the ADDC also underscored the significance of the programme and called upon the Officers/officials to maintain integrity, transparency, accountability and justice at all levels while implementing Government schemes so that people do not face any inconvenience.
ADC Baramulla also spoke during the workshop session and termed technological interventions of Institutes such as BEAMS, DBT, PROOF, PAY-SYS, Online Revenue Services etc. a major step towards transparency in Government offices.
He further added that these portals have been designed to establish an accountable, transparent, and corruption-free Governance Architecture.
