Srinagar, June 21: The Youth Services and Sports Department J&K Friday marked the 10th International Yoga Day with fervor and great enthusiasm. Under the overall supervision of Secretary to the Government Youth Services and Sports Department Jammu & Kashmir, Sarmad Hafeez,the celebrations were organized meticulously across all 22 districts of the Union Territory.
A multitude of boys, girls, and field staff from the Department of Youth Services and Sports showcased their great interest towards Yoga by performing various asanas at different venues. The event provided a unique opportunity for countless young yoga enthusiasts to participate in Yoga Sessions in the esteemed presence of the Prime Minister of India at SKICC Srinagar, along with other esteemed officers and sports icons in different other districts. Expert yoga instructors from the Department skillfully guided participants through the yoga asanas, ensuring an enriching and effective experience for all involved.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports in Jammu and Kashmir truly embraced the spirit of International Yoga Day, fostering a culture of health and well-being among the youth of the UT.
Director of the Department Subash Chander Chhibber, Deputy Director Central, Joint Director Kashmir, Joint Director Jammu, Deputy Director Planing, Chief Accounts Officer, District Youth Services and Sports Officers, Zonal Physical Education Officers and other field officers and officials of YSS also took part in various functions organised in connection with the 10th International Yoga Day.
