Young Titans Triumph: U-14 Cricketers Shine in JKCA Inter-School Clashes

Jodhamal, Heritage, DPS Srinagar, JP World & Foundation World School register dominant wins

Jammu/Srinagar,  July 24: Budding cricketers displayed remarkable grit, skill, and sportsmanship on Day 3 of the prestigious U-14 Boys Inter-School Cricket Tournament organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA). The day witnessed thrilling matches held across multiple venues in Jammu and Srinagar, with Jodhamal Public School, Heritage School, Delhi Public School Srinagar, JP World School, and Foundation World School securing commanding victories.As per a statement issued here in the Jodhamal School vs KC International School (Venue: KCIS, Jammu),  Jodhamal Public School edged out KC International School by 2 wickets. Batting first, KCIS posted a competitive 107 for 7 in the allotted 25 overs. Tazahir Lone played a brilliant knock of 50 runs, while Divyam contributed 21 runs. For Jodhamal, Hridhan Choudhary stood out with 2 crucial wickets. Chasing the target, Jodhamal reached 108 in 17.1 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Hridhan Choudhary was instrumental in the chase, scoring a composed 31 runs and earning the Player of the Match title for his all-round performance.

JP World School vs JK Public School (Venue: JP World School Ground)JP World School cruised to a 5-wicket win over JK Public School. Batting first, JKPS were bowled out for 81 in 21.4 overs. Gagandeep Singh was the top scorer with 21 runs. Shahzaiv produced an impressive bowling performance, scalping 3 wickets. JP World chased down the target in 22.5 overs. Dhran scored 17 and Sarvagya Sethi added 13. Sarvagya was adjudged Player of the Match, with the award presented by Principal  Renuka Kohli.

Heritage School vs GD Goenka School (Venue: JP World School Ground)Heritage School registered a convincing 57-run win over GD Goenka School. Batting first, Heritage amassed 142 for 4 in 25 overs. Aran Wahi (31), Saksh (34), Rajveer (23), and Atharv (15) all contributed handsomely. GD Goenka’s chase faltered as they were bowled out for just 85 in 18.4 overs. Aryaman was the top scorer with 9 runs. Suhaan, Kavish, and Aran Wahi picked up two wickets each. Aran Wahi was named Player of the Match for his all-round contribution.

DPS Srinagar vs Green Valley Educational Institute (Venue: DPS Srinagar)DPS Srinagar put up a dominant performance to defeat Green Valley by 6 wickets. Batting first, Green Valley were restricted to 105 runs in 18.3 overs, despite a spirited 38-run knock from Ehan, and 22 runs from Rahil. DPS Srinagar’s Moshin claimed 2 wickets.Chasing the target, DPS Srinagar reached 106 for 4 in 15.3 overs. Huzaifa top-scored with 39 runs, while Hanan added 21. Ehan also took 2 wickets for Green Valley. Huzaifa was named Player of the Match for his match-winning innings.

Foundation World School vs Tyndale Biscoe School (Venue: Foundation Ground, Srinagar)Foundation World School delivered a clinical 9-wicket win over Tyndale Biscoe School. Tyndale Biscoe, batting first, could only manage 60 runs in 14 overs. Suhail top-scored with 12, while Arif and Yameen took 2 wickets each for Foundation. In reply, Foundation chased down the total in just 6.4 overs. Uzair remained unbeaten on 34, while Zaid contributed 19 runs. Uzair was declared Player of the Match for his aggressive knock that sealed the match. The tournament, a flagship youth event by JKCA, is aimed at promoting grassroots cricket and unearthing young talent from across the Union Territory. With technical guidance, professional facilities, and competitive exposure, these young cricketers are steadily proving that the future of cricket in Jammu and Kashmir is in bright and capable hands.
