The day is commemorated to spread awareness among the people and the Health Care Providers about the colossality of the problem.
It serves as a reminder about how people everywhere have the chance to come together in the battle against HIV, to assist those who are living with the virus, and to honor those who have lost their lives to AIDS-related illnesses. In addition, the day is commemorated to collect money for scientific studies that could lead to the discovery of a treatment for the illness and spare many lives from pain and suffering. It serves to remind the public and government that HIV is still a problem in addition to generating funds, spreading awareness, eradicating discrimination, and enhancing education on World AIDS Day.
With the theme “Let communities lead” for World AIDS Day 2023, it is a chance to evaluate the progress that has been made thus far, to discuss the obstacles still standing in the way of achieving the 2030 target of ending AIDS, and to rally all relevant parties to work together to intensify efforts even further in order to guarantee the effectiveness of the
HIV response.
