Srinagar, Oct 15: Veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor emphasized the need for actors from Jammu and Kashmir during his speech at the annual day celebration of Doon International School on Tuesday. The 72-year-old actor praised the physical fitness and attractiveness of individuals from the region, expressing optimism that heroes from Jammu and Kashmir will soon make their mark in the industry.
“Education is a must and very important for everyone, whether you want to become an engineer, actor, or cricketer. It will help you in achieving your dreams,” Kapoor stated, underscoring the significance of education in attaining success.
Greeting the audience with the Kashmiri phrase “Aisi Aasi Asi Rozo,” Kapoor lauded the talent he observed among the students in Kashmir. “I have visited many schools across the country, but I have never seen such talent and performances from children anywhere else,” he remarked.
He spoke about the changing trends in education, advocating for allowing students to pursue their passions without being forced into specific careers. “If they have a passion for acting, they should be allowed to pursue it. I believe we will soon see actors from Srinagar on the big screen in Mumbai,” he added.
