‘Vocal for local’ should be nurtured as household slogan: Pathania

Ramnagar, Sep 29: Coinciding with programme/ calendar fixed for ‘SevaPakhvada’, BJP spokesperson Ranbir Singh Pathania, Wednesday addressed a function at Rising Pillars Public School, Ramnagar.
According to a statement the theme of the programme was ‘vocal for local’, Pathania explained the concept behind the slogan. He said it is not only a slogan but it is a gospel and theory and it forms the very basis of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
India has been the global leader since times immemorial may it be education, science, mathematics, research, teaching, spirituality. But with the passage of time and with the advent of western culture and civilization the local arrangements, economic self-dependence of people has almost been upset, he said.
The Swadeshi movement was started in 1905. It was Mahatma Gandhi who popularized the use of swadeshi during various movements against the British. Taking a cue from the father of nation, NarendraModi has also taken up this bold initiative of reviving ‘vocals for local’. The slogan forms the core of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. It is needed to protect, preserve and promote the local brands, local entrepreneurship and local vision and formulae, Pathania said.
