Srinagar, Nov 24: Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Professor Akbar Masood on Thursday released a book “Alfaaz Se Aagey”. The book is based on extensive research work on noted Urdu poets and writers and is authored by Dr Liaqat Nayyer, Coordinator Department of Urdu.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Akbar said the book deals with a critical view of the scholarly contributions of many acclaimed Urdu poets and writers and it postulates good academic outcomes. “This book would be a delightful read and useful in academic pursuits of students and scholars of the Urdu language and literature,” he said.
Drafted in the increasingly popular genre, the book is thoroughly researched and heavily annotated, the VC said. He lauded the efforts of Dr Liaqat Nayyer for writing the book.
Those who were present on the occasion included Prof Iqbal Parwez Dean Academic Affairs, Associate Deans of various Schools, faculty members and officers of the university.
